Charlie's Angels and Bosley

Of all the tasks included in moving our family, I've felt most overwhelmed by the painting. We are obligated to return the house we're moving out of to the neutral it was when we moved in. That includes our big dark red living room, our big yellow kitchen, and our bright blue hall. Yikes.

Two of my girlfriends called this morning to say they were available to come paint today. Trey and I ran to Lowes for primer that boasts being able to cover any color in one coat, then ran back as they were arriving.

That's when the boys began acting as perfect angels, playing in their room; and Jeff, Amber, Deb & I turned into Bosley and Charlie's Angels. We painted over 800 square feet of wall space in under three hours, and the primer DID cover all three colors! AMAZING. My stress level is much lower than it was this morning.

Thank you God! :)

Almost forgot...

I can't forget to tell you this hilarious story!  When we were visiting Miss Kelsey at the library this morning (and there were quite a few people around) she noticed the waistband of Roman's underwear and asked him, "Roman, are you wearing big boy underwear?!??!"  He confidently said "yup", then yanked his shorts down to his ankles so she could see!!!!

Busy busy

As the move draws closer I've been on here less and less!  Things are definitely progressing, I can tell by the naked walls and my achy back.  :)   It's a lot more complicated moving with little ones, I had no idea.  Thankfully we've gotten a lot of support and help from family and friends.

We took a break from packing this morning to visit our beloved storytime teacher Miss Kelsey at the library.  This is her last week of work here, she's getting married and moving out of state. She's become very important to the boys, she really connects with them.  She's just wonderful.  I wish her the best!  Here are the boys with "their" Miss Kelsey:

I was really excited this week when my crab apple tree bloomed, I would've been bummed if we'd missed it.  It's so beautiful and smells amazing...

Phew

I'm a little tired. Jeff left for a guys' weekend on Friday, but he's on his way home now! I truly am glad he got to go, he needed it, and I'm sure it was a ton of fun. It is not easy being home alone with two little ones though! Especially when it's a cold, rainy weekend. So we got creative with some games of indoor hide-n-seek and a big train track taking up their bedroom floor. Trey's getting pretty good at hide-n-seek, it's been a while since we've done it and I was impressed. Roman on the other hand likes to yell "I'm in here!" leaving a little to be desired for the seeker. :)

Check out the train and city we spent quite a bit of yesterday with:

Brackman News

1. Spring is here. Thank you God. I love the sunshine and warm weather, and most of all, I love the grass turning green and the flowers popping open.

2. With spring comes... buzz cuts! I begged Jeff (somewhat seriously) not to buzz my "baby". He did it anyway, and I shed a few tears, but he is still cute...

3. And the big news... we're moving! We're staying in the area, but we decided to take a new lease at a house further north (out further from the city) where we are surrounded by woods, a creek, the Olentangy River and lots of land to play on. However, it's still only a few minutes to shopping and the highway. Here is a shot of the house and garage from the driveway, and one of Jeff and the boys at the creek, which is down the hill on the other side of the driveway. We move the first weekend in May, so plan your visits for after that!

Scrapbook Page

I almost never scrapbook myself, and if I do it's in pictures with the kids or friends. I saw someone else do a page like this and thought it was pretty cool. So here is a page I made about myself.
